Review: UNCHARTED (An On the Island Novella) by Tracey Garvis Graves

Synopsis
Tracey Garvis Graves - and Anna and T.J. - return in this companion novella to the New York Times bestseller On the Island

When twenty-three-year-old dot-com millionaire Owen Sparks walked away from his charmed life, he had one goal in mind: get as far away as possible from the people who resented his success, or had their hand out for a piece of it. A remote uncharted island halfway around the world seemed like a perfectly logical place to get away from it all.

Calia Reed wasn't part of Owen's plans. The beautiful British girl - on holiday in the Maldives with her brother, James - made Owen wonder if getting away from it all might be a lot more enjoyable with a carefree girl who didn't know anything about the life he left behind.

But Owen had no idea how much his carefully detailed plans would go awry. Nor did he realize that a decision he made would have such a catastrophic effect on two passengers who boarded a plane in Chicago.

And when Owen shows up at Anna and T.J.'s door with an incredible story to tell, everyone involved will learn just how much their lives are intertwined.

Uncharted includes an early look at Covet, coming September 2013.

Review ~ 4.5 Stars
This was a great novella. Not too short so that you couldn't connect with the characters as so many novella's are. I started this as soon as I finished On the Island so everything was still fresh in my mind. Of course the writing was amazing and I read it in one sitting. I loved how Owen's story was tied to Anna and T.J.'s with a twist I didn't see coming. Fair warning, be prepared to cry. Not just cry but UGLY cry.

Once again we are transported back to the island we all fell in love/hate with. Unlike Anna and T.J., Owen has chosen to live there in isolation. He has had enough of the life he was living and needed to get far away from all of the things that are troubling him. Even though he comes well equipped for his stay, there are unforeseen troubles that no one could have been prepared for.

There is so much that happened in this story but I can't really tell too much of it without giving spoilers. Just know that if you were left wondering about one minor detail from OTI, you will get your answer with this story. Not only do you get to catch up with Anna and T.J. but you also get a whole new story as well. It's a win for everybody.
