Review ~ 4 Stars
Susan Mallery is my go to author when I need a book that makes me feel warm and fuzzy. She has the ability to take you on a romantic journey filled with passion and humor like no other. I have read quite a few books in the Fools Gold series and this by far is my favorite. What I love about this series is the fact that any book could be read as a stand alone. So if this is your first visit to FG, no worries, you won't be lost.

Isabel fell in love with her sister's fiance, Ford back when she was only 14. When that engagement ended due to her sister falling in love with someone else, Ford enlists in the military. Isabel is heartbroken and starts writing him a series of letters. Letters that Ford never responds to. Fast forward 14 years and Isabel is recently divorced and has returned to Fools Gold to take over the family's bridal business temporarily while her mother is traveling the world.

Ford has returned as well. He has returned to a meddlesome mother and 3 over bearing sisters who are out to find him a wife as soon as possible. He and Isabel come up with a plan to get his family off his back but they get more than they bargained for. Ford thinks he is unable to fall in love and Isabel thinks that she is unlovable. Turns out they are both wrong.

Sweet and sexy with a lot of humor.  Actually there are 2 love stories in this book but who's counting? I was left with a happy heart and a smile. If you are looking for an easy HEA then this is the book for you.
