Tour Stop: EASY TO LOVE YOU by Megan Smith ~ Review/Giveaway

Title: Easy To Love You (The Love Series #2)
Author: Megan Smith
Genre: New Adult
Hosted By: Shh Mom's Reading

Hunter finally has MacKenzie Cahill, the girl of his dreams. A horrible accident finds those dreams threatened. As their lives change, secrets begin to surface. These revelations could prove to be either the downfall of Hunter and MacKenzie or the catalyst that strengthens their bond.

Hunter has painful choices to make. Will he realize what he has before it’s gone? He knows what he must do to save his future, but will he be leaving everyone else in his past?

Will the bond between the two families be strong enough to keep them together?

I kicked off the wall and went back into the waiting room. It was probably a dickhead move but whatever; I didn’t give a shit right now. "What the fuck is happening in there?" I yelled as I paced back and forth in the waiting room. I was really trying to keep calm but my whole life was behind those damn doors.

"We don’t know yet." Mr. Cahill said when he came back in and wrapped his arms around his crying wife.

I kept trying to look in through the doors every time someone would go in or leave, but all I could see were a bunch of doctors and nurses scrambling around. I stopped moving, even stopped breathing, when I saw CC’s limp arm hanging off the edge of the table; recognizable only from the ring I had given her just a few months ago and the bracelet I had given her for her birthday.

Cooper came up behind me and put his hand on my shoulder, "I have to do something; I can’t just wait here and do nothing." I walked over to the trash can and kicked it; everyone jumped. I need to do something to take the edge off; I’m going fucking insane not knowing anything except that she’s alive.

Finally! That is what I was thinking once I got my hands on this book. We were left hanging at the end of Trying Not to Love You with one hell of a cliffhanger.

Hunter is left reeling when C.C. gets into a horrible car accident. While she is in a coma they have to deliver the baby. This part really tore my heart out. He finally gets to hold his baby but the love of his life is hanging on to life by a thread. *sob* He has to divide his time between being at C.C's bedside and taking care of their baby.

Once C.C. wakes up from her coma, she has missed the baby's first week of life and she feels very guilty that she wasn't there for her son. With Hunter's help she was finally able to overcome her guilt and bond with her baby.

Finally the day comes where she gets to go home with her little family. Although she has a lot of healing to do physically she is determined to do things for herself. There is something that she is keeping from hunter about the accident. And in turn, there are things he is keeping from her as well.

When those things are revealed she has to decide if she can forgive him or if she is going to let it be the end. Personally, I didn't understand her reaction to the situation. I thought she completely overreacted. Hunter, being his sweet self and all, did everything to prove to her how sorry he was. Was it enough????

I am really enjoying this series. The writing is amazing and the story line keeps you coming back for more. I hope book 3 comes out soon so I can see where this author is going with some of the other characters that I've grown to love.
