About this author....
Melissa started reading in high school when she found her mom's romance book collection and has been hooked on books every since. She became a complete book-a-holic, starting her own collection and improving her reading skills. Most of the time she could finish a book walking around the store, while her mom shopped.

She wrote her first short story in high school for a competition in her writing class. It was a child's book called 'Arnold' - it was about an ant who believed he could do anything. Oh by the way, she won!

She has written many stories since then, but this will be her first YA paranormal/fantasy and the first book she will have published.

She lived in Mesa, Arizona with her husband of six years, and her 3 beautiful daughters. They are her biggest fans and they inspire her everyday. She enjoys spending time with her family, weekend dates with her mom & taking vacations. Hawaii anyone??

Release Day Blitz/Giveaway ~ CHANGE OF HEART by S.E. Edwards

Synopsis:
Persevere.

That's how I've gotten through nineteen years of life. It's what I do every single day—no matter how badly the odds are stacked against me.

Persevere, and survive.

Those are my two guiding words. I never knew either of my parents. I have no family and no home. The only person I could ever rely on was myself. In this cruel world, that's about as much as I could ask for.

Love? Hah. Don't talk to me about love. I stopped believing in it the day my first boyfriend ripped out my heart three years ago.

That's why love is the last thing on my mind when I leave a packed college bar with a captivating stranger. Yet everything changes when I'm awakened in the middle of the night by a pounding at the door. Suddenly, an arrangement meant for just one night threatens to become something much deeper.

All expectations are thrown to the wind as I'm tangled in a dangerous world unlike anything I can believe. The man I met has secrets swirling around him like a dark cape. I'm about to become his biggest one...

Excerpt:
Together, we stumble toward the elevator. Rich breaks away for a second to hit the button. The light doesn’t come on.

“Damn,” he growls, “it’s busted again.”

I’m one step ahead of him. I’d spotted the stairs when we entered. I grab his hand and pull him after me with no hesitation. I start up the cement stairwell, determined to get to his room as fast as possible.

“Penny, wait.”

I look back, confused. “What?”

A devilish smile plays on his lips. “Only this.” Without warning his hands wrap around my waist, and I’m being lifted up as easily as if I were a doll. He turns to the side and presses my body against the wall, suspending me between him and the concrete.

His mouth crashes down on mine again. I curl my legs around his torso, locking my ankles together, and kiss him back with the passion reserved for a lover after ten long years apart. I didn’t think it was possible, but I’m getting even more turned on. Rich’s hands move down to grasp the outside of my thighs, and I moan into his kiss as the muscles of my core clench in sinful fashion. I want him so
badly. If we don’t get somewhere private soon, I won’t be wholly opposed to jumping him in public.

I gasp as he steps away, freeing me from the wall. I start to fall, but one of his hands darts down to catch me just beneath the knees. The other one cradles my shoulders. Before I know it, I’m slung across his arms like a bride on her wedding night.

“I’ve always wanted to carry a girl up these stairs,” Rich admits.

I laugh, and wrap my arm around his neck. “Oh, you are just the best type of romantic.”

Four flights of stairs later, Rich pushes open the fire door to a dimly-lit hallway. He carries me down the hall and stops in front of an entrance on the right. He sets me down, then fishes around in his jeans for the key. When the door creaks open, he sweeps a hand out in front of him. “Welcome to my humble abode.”

I walk in, curious about his apartment. I tend to side with the camp of people who believe that a person’s living arrangements can reveal a lot about his personality. But, I don’t find much to work with here.

The apartment is sparse and dark. Pale moonlight filters in through the balcony window, shining down on the only piece of furniture present: a queen size mattress lying on the floor of the living room. The red brick walls are totally empty—no girly posters or other things I might expect in a bachelor’s apartment. There are no lamps, no chairs, no couches.

After a moment, I notice a second piece of furniture: a small, old-school CRT TV camped in one corner of the studio apartment.

Rich switches on the light. “So?” he asks, “what do you think?”

I walk past the entrance. There’s one hall leading away from the room. It is filled with brown cardboard boxes. Lots and lots of boxes. “Did you just move in or something?”

Rich laughs behind me. “Yeah, something like that. You want a drink?”

“A drink?” I say. “No, I—”

The words catch in my throat as he grabs my hips and spins me around. I had no idea he’d come so close. He’d moved from the door to me without making a sound. His fingers lock together against my lower back, and he tugs me into him, pressing my belly to his waist. I feel his growing erection right away, and a diabolical excitement builds inside me.

Nothing happens.

For a long moment, Richard just holds me like that, staring into my eyes as I’m left dangling off his arms. His irises are the color of sea mist. I’m hypnotized by the deep intensity I see brewing just beneath the surface. I have no doubt that that type of intensity is mirrored in my eyes.

Then, moving slowly, as if restraining himself, Richard lowers his mouth to cover mine. This time, his kiss is sweet and gentle. Subtle and caring. He explores my upper lip first, then traces the line going to the corner of my mouth. His lips form a perfect mold over mine.

I was wrong before. This is the kiss reserved for a lover you haven’t seen in ten years.

Tour Stop: Review/Giveaway ~ TANGLED by Emma Chase

Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

Review ~ 5 Stars
I can not stress enough how totally freakin amazing this book was. Wow, just wow! This was written solely from the male POV and it was brilliantly done.
At first I thought Drew Evans was an arrogant, skirt chasing, asshole. I was thinking "how am I ever going to like this character"? He was so conceited and I just wanted to nut punch him. Oh, but then as the story progresses my tune changed really quick.
I loved Kate and the way she didn't take any shit from him. She was smart , beautiful and did not back down from a challenge.

"I don't plan on being one of your groupies or a notch on your bedpost, so you can save your lines, your smile, and your bullshit for someone else."

This was the funniest book I have read so far this year. Laughed so hard I cried. For example, Drew's POV on Cinderella ...

"A mindless twit who can't even remember where she left her damn shoe, so she has to wait for some douchebag in tights to bring it to her? Give me a figging break."

This author has mad writing skills and I can't wait to read more from her. Great, amazing , fantastic.. yeah, you get the picture. Go get this one.

Tour Stop: Review/Giveaway ~ LOVE LOVE by Beth Michele

Blurb:
Gabrielle Willis is smart. She's funny. And oh yes, she's a bit klutzy.

When Gabrielle left sunny California bound for the energy of Manhattan, she was willingly leaving the life she had known for the new life she would create. But was she really leaving something behind or was she running away?

On the outside, Gabrielle Willis has it all under control. A new life in Manhattan, a great roommate, and a good job. But she is haunted. Haunted by a memory she's tried to forget and by a family who's abandoned her. But what happens when what's on the outside is only an illusion and in perfect contradiction to what's buried deep within?

Enter Dane Rhodes. He's gorgeous, smart, and sexy as hell. Just what Gabby wants, or so she thinks. But when she meets Brad Dixon, the sweet guy with the crooked smile, he begins to make her see that the very thing she is trying to run from is the very thing that just may push her to see the light.

Review ~ 4 Stars
Funny, sweet and I loved it! It was refreshing to read a book where I was not left hanging, however this would have been a 5 Star for me had I not felt like the end was a little too rushed. With that being said, this was a laugh out loud, fun and sexy read.
Gabby has something from her past holding her back from moving on. Her friend Fran is trying to help her comes to terms with it and wants her to get back out there and find some happiness. I loved both these characters. The banter between them was so funny and I think everyone needs a friend like Fran.

"Gabby, let's be honest, you need to get laid."  "You're not yourself, but I'm sure it's nothing a good piece of ass can't take care of."

Gabby is a kind hearted, coffee loving, clumsy, junk food junkie who you will love instantly. Brad is the sexy, sweet owner of the coffee house she frequents to fuel her caffeine addiction. I have to say that this was one of my top favorite first kiss scenes. I love me some Brad. Why can't all men be as wonderful as him? Any guy who says "your kiss made my hear flutter" deserves to be adored. You will get a HEA and you will finish this book with a big smile on your face.

My favorite quote.... "I was dead inside before I met you. You awakened something in me, and if you think I'm letting you walk out of my life, you're more insane than I am."

Tour Stop: Review/Giveaway ~ THIS TRUST OF MINE by Amanda Bennett

Blurb:
"Love cannot be defined by age or time, but by the way that person makes you feel. He made me feel completely vulnerable, but vulnerability I have learned is a gift, one that I will gladly accept from Madison Raine."

Kayla
Madison had irrevocably changed me. He opened me up to feel things I had never felt, and he never judged me for my past. In the short amount of time I had known him, I had fallen in love with him and everything he encompassed. He showed me how to live, how to enjoy life, but best of all, he showed me how to love. They say bad things happen to good people, well that saying rang truer to me now than ever before. Madison is gone. He is off at school in Arizona, and I just couldn't bring myself to leave with him. That was my first mistake.
See the thing about trouble is, it will always find you. Trouble found me the night he left, and that night forever changed me. Now I am fighting my way back, alone.

Madison
Leaving Kayla was one of the hardest things I had ever had to do. To say I regret my decision to leave her behind, would be an understatement. My world shifted when I met her and I would forever be changed. Everything felt different now that I was away, everything with her at least. Something was wrong, I could feel it. I needed to go to her to find out what this feeling was, but would she trust me enough to tell me, and could I trust her to forgive me.

"When life, love and heart breaking circumstances stand to pull apart a bond so strong, what do you do without trust?"

Excerpt:
My feet left the ground with the strength of his arms pulling me up and into him. My arms instinctively wrapped tightly around his neck with the strength of a thousand men. I breathed in his scent and my lips grazed the base of his heated neck. He was here. He was actually here in front of me and he was touching me with those unbelievable hands. My eyes fluttered shut as his grip on my waist tightened enough for me to feel his excitement against my belly. I let a small knowing smile creep across my face with the knowledge that I still affected him so. When I could finally find the words to speak, beat me to the punch, as always.

Review ~ 4 Stars
This starts off one month later where This Love Of Mine ended. I loved the first book and the second, although not quite as good, did not disappoint. Madison has left for Arizona to play baseball and had to leave Kayla behind in Texas. After a short time he realizes that he can't be without her and he moves back home. Something horrible happened to her while he was away and she is afraid to tell him because she thinks he will never look at her the same. This poor girl has lived through so much trauma in her young life and my heart just broke for her. He has his work cut out for him when he returns because she has shut herself off to him.

"In the short amount of time that I had come to know this amazingly beautiful young women, I knew she would be my world. The realization of that wasn't hard to miss, but my actions had shown her otherwise."

He is determined to be back in her life even if it's just as a friend. These two were both so young and dumb that at times, I just wanted to throttle them. But the way they handle what happened to her redeemed them both in my eyes. Her for being so strong and him for never missing a beat when he learned the truth. Just a warning, this does end with another cliffhanger. Great story and I can't wait to see what happens next.

About the Author:
Marine Corps wife, mommy to two wonderfully, obnoxious little military brats, loving dog owner, and WRITER.

I've spent the greater part of my life enjoying books and writing, so after making another life altering move for my wonderful husband and his career, I decided to make my dream come true and write my first novel, Red Flags.

I am obsessively addicted to candy (except for chocolate).  I don't care for flowers (they die).  Coffee is a no-go for me, but I'll suck down a Red Bull in a heartbeat.  I study with the TV on, but write to music.  I am competitive as all hell, probably too competitive for my own good.  I grew up playing sports and wanted to win at EVERYTHING.  It's creeping into my son and I'm not so sure that's a good thing.  I will play tea party and dolls with my daughter, even though I never played that stuff as a child.

I now live in the glorious state of Hawaii and if it weren't for the roaches, poisonous centipedes, and geckos that leave me prancing around, moving from room to room with cans of RAID, this would truly be paradise.  I can't complain though... when I don't see the critters, I love it here, and wouldn't want to be stationed anywhere else.  When I see them, I want to pack up and hop on the first thing flying out of here.

I can't thank you all enough for taking a chance on a no-namer like myself and allowing me to live my dreams.

Excerpt:

It was starting to get late; I told Jasper that I’d cook dinner at his house for him. He had things he wanted to talk to me about. I explained to Leo that I needed to get a shower and go to the “main house.” We both laughed at “main house”; he needed to get going too. He’d wasted an entire day playing in the pool, instead of doing the landscaping for Jasper. Jasper would be pissed, but I’d handle him.

Leo got out of the pool first, grabbing a towel for me, holding it out like a parent holds a towel for their child when the kid gets out of the water. I hesitated momentarily, and then walked into the cloth as Leo wrapped the towel and his strong arms around me. My arms were pinned against my sides, trapped inside the towel. I was afraid to look up, into his eyes, at those cherubic dimples. I paused, then slowly looked up at him. He rubbed my arms, up and down my arms and shoulders, drying me off and staring at me the entire time. He asked if I was warm enough; I nodded, licking my lips, not taking my eyes from him. I waited.

I was surprised when he released me, and stepped back a few steps, away from me, asking if he could borrow one of the towels over on the chair. Shocked, I nodded and threw a towel in his direction, not reaching him. He walked to pick it up, thanked me for lunch, and started to get his shoes on. “I had fun today Miss Garrity.” He stated, smiling. “You’re fun and easy to talk to.” He started to walk toward the water toys, stopped, and said, “Plus, it’s always a good day to hang out with a hot chick in her bikini.” He laughed, flinging his towel at me. Leo put the rafts and buckets back in the storage shed and left. I stood there confused and extremely disappointed. There was no doubt about it; I’d wanted Leo Cling to kiss me, really kiss me. I could almost taste his lips on mine. I wanted to feel his mouth on mine. I’d wanted nothing else since he saved me from Marcus the other day. I gave him all the signals, didn’t resist it at all, and he didn’t take the cue. Or maybe he didn’t want to take the cue? Maybe, he was resisting me? Damn, I’d have to conquer that, fix that. I wanted to kiss his lips, taste him, and even lick his adorable dimples when he grinned. Hell, he’d said he studied the woman’s anatomy, because of me. I wanted to know if his studies paid off. I had to know.

What a messed up love/sex triangle this was. Naughty and funny! Not at all what I was expecting and I really did like this story.
Janelle is a 29 year old school teacher that lives a rather boring life. That is until she catches her husband doing the nasty with his secretary and moves into her brothers pool house. Things start looking up for her when she runs into one of her former students. I know what your thinking, but it wasn't gross like that at all. She is 29 and the student is a college grad. Well there were 3 former students to be exact but who's counting? Briggs is tall, dark and sexy as hell. He has had the hots for Miss Garrity ever since he saw......(sorry no spoilers here). And then there is Leo, ahhh, love his sweet, sensitive ass. She is just looking for a "no strings attached" kind of relationship but Briggs and Leo both want more. This book does end with a cliffhanger and I really want to know who she will choose. Who do I want to see her choose? That's easy. Team Leo all the way!!!
