Review

This series just keeps getting better and better!! Although Dazed is considered a novella it sure didn't read like one. I didn't feel like anything was rushed and the story was just beautiful.

Jagger!! Oh ladies, you have to meet Jagger! He makes my heart go crazy. I mean he is River's cousin so of course he has to be yummy, right?

It was about time someone came along and removed the stick up Aerie's straight laced, workaholic butt. She always seemed to have it all together but her life was BORING!! I loved how Jagger is able to shake things up for her.

Umm, the sex scenes?? Yeah, they are the usual Kim Karr steaminess! That girl can write a a sex scene like no other.

Ok, I've given you plenty of reasons to read this one so what are you waiting for?

5 STARS!!  ~Christy

I live in Florida with my husband and four kids. I've always had a love for reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, I wanted to teach at the college level but that was not to be. I went on to receive an MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise my family. I currently work part-time with my husband and full-time embracing one of my biggest passions—writing.

I wear a lot of hats! Writer, book-lover, wife, soccer-mom, taxi driver, and the all around go-to person of the family. However, I always find time to read. One of my favorite family outings use to be taking my kids to the bookstore or the library. Today, my oldest child is in college and my twins are juniors so they no longer go with me on these outings. And although I don't need to go to the actual store anymore because I have the greatest device ever invented—a Kindle, I still do. There's nothing like a paperback. So now my four year old and I make dates out of going to the bookstore--it's time I love and cherish.

I like to believe in soulmates, kindred spirits, true friends, and Happily-Ever-Afters. I love to drink champagne, listen to music, and hopes to always stay young at heart.

REVIEWS

Oh wow!! This is one of my all time favorite books! Everything about it was perfect. The storyline, the setting, the characters... everything was absolutely perfect!! This is one of those stories that you never want to see end and when it does you feel empty inside. Although there is nothing left unanswered I still want more.

The way Ridge and Sydney meet was just brilliant. Once you read the book you will see what I mean. I love when a storyline grabs me and makes me think "How does she come up with this stuff?" And then there is the added bonus of all of the music used throughout the book. Instead of just imagining how a song would sound, with one click you can hear them all.

Also this book gets the BEST FIRST KISS award from me. Wow, made my heart beat a mile a minute. From the build up to the actual kiss itself, it was off the charts.

I would give this book 10 stars if I could but I guess I will settle for 5. READ THIS BOOK!!!! ~Christy

****************************************************************************

Have you read a book that refuses to leave your mind? You think about the characters all the time? You wonder what they are doing now, like they are real to you? This is what Maybe Someday has done to me. I spent my day today going over parts of the book in my head. I can't believe he did that, and I can't believe she learned to do that for him. It's moments like this that I want to go on and on and on about the book.

I'm telling everyone I know to read this book. I promise them that they will love it, and warn them to have plenty of tissues handy.

I instantly feel in love with Ridge. His story is like no other, and how he deals with it is extraordinary. He's an amazing human being, and he's just that...Human. We as humans make mistakes, and how he chose to handle it broke half my heart and made the other half love him even more. "For her I bend, for you I break." This is one of my favorite lines from Ridge.

Sydney is a spitfire. I love how she was with Warren, he's Ridge's best friend and the banter and pranks between the three of them had me laughing my butt off. What happened to Sydney in the beginning was wrong, but I felt even more pain and heartache for her throughout the rest of the book. "I failed first." One of the saddest moments in this book is when Sydney says this to Ridge.

This story is funny, sweet, and heart wrenching. I felt torn by the path that the characters took. Is it right? Is it wrong? You don't choose love, love chooses you. Who am I to say that faced with this same situation that I wouldn't have done the same thing. The plot was original, and the music was absolutely perfect.

Colleen Hoover moved me with her words. "Sometimes we have to have really bad days in order to keep the good ones in perspective."

Thank You, Colleen for a very good day of reading. I will cherish this book forever, and Maybe Someday I will get to meet her and have her sign it. ~Jen

Tour Stop: TWISTED by Emma Chase

Title: Twisted
Author: Emma Chase
Release Date: 3/25/2014

Synopsis
Falling in love is easy. Staying in love is hard. In this heart-pounding follow-up to Tangled by New York Times bestseller Emma Chase, Kate reveals that there is trouble in paradise, when unexpected circumstances force her and Drew to "renegotiate" their relationship.

There are two kinds of people in the world. The ones who look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of a looker. Cautious. A planner. That changed after I met Drew Evans. He was so persistent. So sure of himself—and of me.

But not all love stories end happily ever after. Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the sunset? Join the club. Now I have to make a choice; the most important of my life. Drew already made hisin fact, he tried to decide for the both of us. But you know that’s just not my style. So I came back to Greenville, Ohio, alone. Well, sort of alone...

What I've come to realize is that old habits die hard, and sometimes you have to go back to where you began before you can move ahead.

Review
WOW... Just Wow! Really, I’m at a loss for words. I was expecting this hilarious continuation of Kate and Drew’s story. You know, the one where Drew is all funny and egotistical and Kate is putting him in his place. So not how this story went. But...I would not have wanted it any other way after reading it.
Emma Chase has taken my happy, laughing and Drew loving heart and ripped it out, stomped on it repeatedly and placed it back into the cavity where it belongs. I could not put this book down. It literally pained me to stop reading because I had to go to work. I could not get the story out of my head. I prayed to the book goddess’ to not let it end like this.
As always, there are some very hilarious interactions between Drew, Dee and even Billy. Man, can Emma Chase write humor. She is freaking hilarious and I love how she writes Drew. As much as this book killed me in parts, I loved the tension. I loved the suspense and the heart break. That is the masochist in me. I gripped and white knuckled my Kindle, I sat on the edge of my chair. My heart pounded hard in my chest, holding my breath at every turn of the page. If you thought Emma wrote good humor, wait until you read the suspense she writes. I was cursing her for doing this to me.
I am not even going to go into the plot, and ruin things for you. All I can say is, this book came out of left field. Emma wound up the bat and knocked it out of the ballpark. (Drew would be proud of my baseball analogy right there). Love, love, loved this book.
I happily give this book 5 Stars! ~Jen

Excerpt
I nod and ask Jimmy to get another round of dirty martinis ready. “How do you like that martini?”
She picks up the martini glass and guzzles down the rest of the drink, leaving the olive at the bottom. “Delicious.” She grabs the other glass that Jimmy just set down in front of her and takes another long swig. “Definitely the best martini I’ve ever had in Boston.”
“Have you ever had a martini in Boston?” I ask, then I guzzle the rest of my first martini so I can keep up with her.
“Not nice, young lady.” Jimmy chides her and she lifts her martini glass to him.
“Still the best,” she declares, then she finishes martini number two.
Jimmy throws me a brief glance that probably means, Where’d you find this one? or, Am I gonna have to eighty-six her at eleven a.m.?
“Maybe you should eat a little something before you transform into a walking dirty martini. All you had was half a muffin.”
“The bottom,” she clarifies, looking at Jimmy. “I’m not hungry.”
“I make a pretty mean green olive and maraschino cherry kabob,” I reply, and Jimmy lifts the condiment tray onto the bar.
I grab a toothpick and stack two olives and two cherries, then I hold it out to her. Her face looks a little gray as she shoots my concoction a look of disgust.
“I said I’m not hungry. You eat it.”
I pop the toothpick into my mouth and pull it out clean. The bitter brine of the olives hits me first, then the cloying sweetness of the cherries. I take my first chew and it all explodes into a squishy mess in my mouth.
“That’s disgusting,” she remarks.
I gulp down the rest of my shit-kabob and Jimmy shakes his head as he sets a glass of ice water on the bar for me to wash it down. “Yeah, but it got you to stop jonesin’ for a martini for two minutes.”
She rolls her eyes. “I’m more of a beer girl, anyway.”
“You and I are going to get along very well.”
“I thought we were already getting along pretty well.”

Review
I loved this story!! It was edgier than what I am use to with this author but it worked and I couldn't read it fast enough. I felt an instant connection to Mikki. She was broken and I just wanted to fix her. When her truth finally came to light it was really hard to read and incredibly heartbreaking. I am tearing up just thinking about it. A MUST READ!!

Unexpected, beautiful and will not soon be forgotten. 5 Stars!! ~Christy

Excerpt

I turned on the radio and sang along to “Outside” by Staind as I shoved down my boxer briefs,

kicking them off on the floor. I made my way into my bathroom, turning on the light above the sink but

leaving the one in the shower stall off to spare myself the harsh light. The water didn’t take long to heat

up, and I slid under the spray, closing the fogged glass door behind me.

I dumped liquid body wash in the palm of my hand and rubbed the soap over my chest and

down my stomach as I begged for the adrenaline of my nightmares to subside. My hand dipped lower,

knowing there was only one way to make those memories fade, and I wasn’t proud of that fact. I

gripped my dick, squeezing hard as my hand slid slowly up and down my length. I rested my forehead

against the damp sandstone tile and closed my eyes, hoping I could find some sort of release.

The song ended, and waiting for the next to start was quickly killing my mood. Nine Inch Nails

faded in through the speakers that were embedded above the shower stall, and I began to stroke myself

faster as I pictured small, perky tits with light-pink pebbled nipples. I licked my lips as I focused on the

faceless vision, my eyes traveling down a tight stomach while my fingers slipped over my head and back

against the base of my cock. I panted, water droplets falling from my lips as I imagined it was swollen

pink lips wrapped around me, sucking as my fist gripped her hair, tiny moans in the back of her throat

vibrating and nearly sending me over the edge as I pushed her closer, touching the back of her throat

with my dick.

“Ah…” I groaned over the music. I imagined her moaning my name, begging for me to come in

her pretty little mouth.

“Colin?” Annie’s voice came from inside my room.

“Fuck,” I growled, but I was too close to be able to stop myself as my stomach muscles

tightened.

“Colin?” she called again as she got closer, and it sent me over the edge.

“Fuck, Annie,” I panted as I came, struggling to catch my breath as I stared at her emerald eyes

through the fogged glass door. She didn’t move for a moment, her lips parted in complete shock and

breathing as erratically as me.

“Your shirt,” she whispered as it fell from her fingertips, pooling at her feet, and her eyes locked

on mine.

“Leave,” I barked. My words jarred her, and she ran from my room.

I knew Andy had to work tonight, but I hoped he was at home by now.
There was no way that I could go back to my dorm room and sit alone
while all of this was going through my head. I was hanging on to my sanity
by a thread, and I knew that if I was by myself while dealing with this, I’d
lose it.
I nearly cried in relief when I pulled into his apartment complex
parking lot, and I saw his car sitting there. I didn’t have to be alone. He
would help me. I ran across the lot, and in too much of a hurry to use the
elevator, I sprinted up the stairs to his floor.
Tears were streaming down my cheeks as I beat on his door. I prayed
that he hadn’t fallen asleep yet. I had a key to his apartment, but I hated to
use it this late at night. I didn’t want him to think someone was trying to
break in.
The door opened, and Andy was standing there. He took one look at
me and pulled me into his arms.
“Emma, what’s wrong?” he asked.
I was crying too hard to speak, so I shook my head.
“Who’s that?” an unfamiliar female voice asked.

A matter of love...
As much as they try to keep it platonic, the friction between them sparks an irresistible heat that soon consumes them. Can Kash keep Rachel's heart and her life safe even as he risks his own? Will she be able to forgive his lies ... or will she run when she discovers the dangerous truth?

Review

I’m really torn writing this review. I just finished reading this book. I wasn’t expecting the story to go as it did. That is what I love about Molly McAdams. She doesn’t write the expected, she writes outside the box. She is one of the only authors I know that can rip your heart out with her words and have you still want more.

I was so scared to start this one, I was dreading the (Molly) as I call it. You know, what she did in Taking Chances. Thankfully that did not happen, but the emotional roller coaster was there and it was one hell of a ride.

Kash is of course, Kash. Sweet, dominating but my heart was breaking for him. I wanted to jump into my Kindle and give him a big hug. At about 75% in, I was torn. I felt the same as him to an extent, but I hated how he was dealing with the situation. He redeemed himself in the end and I am still in love with him, maybe even a little more now.

Rachel, WOW! That girl can deal with some real crap. What happened to her, and how she dealt with it was amazing. Even though at one point I wanted to strangle her, I understood why she was doing it. This book really makes you look at heroines differently. Molly writes such strong female characters and puts them in the worst situations. But, they come out fighting and it says a lot to women out there.

The plot was once again a shocker. I did not anticipate it going that way, at all. That’s why I love her books. It was fresh, kept me on the edge of my seat and never a dull moment. I’m sad to see an end of Kash and Rachel, but I hope to see Mason get his own book.

I’m giving this book 5 Stars! ~Jen
