Excerpt
I wake up with my face pressed against a moist surface, cold, sick to my stomach, and disoriented. At first I think I’m in the freezer again, but when I push up, I’m blinded by the sunlight. My body groans in protest and I instantly collapse back onto the muddy ground covered in dead leaves. I just lie there, refusing to believe what’s around me. Trees, the sky, the sound of a river flowing. I’m dreaming. I have to be dreaming. “A forest. How…” I trail off with my eyes shut. “I can’t… I don’t even…” I try to let my mind travel back to last night, but all I can remember is going into the back room, the guy coming in after me, then blacking out as if I were wasted. It makes no sense since I only had one shot of tequila. I have a way higher tolerance for alcohol than that, which makes me instantly want to point my finger at the one thing that has made me blackout before. “You’re getting stronger,” I say to Lily. “You took over when I was awake.” I don’t move for a very long time, waiting for Lily to say something to me, but she doesn’t. Finally, I sit up, relieved to see that at least this time I don’t have blood on me. Although, I do have a few forming bruises on my hips and scratches on my arm. For a minute, I wonder if maybe the guy raped me then dumped me out here to die. The thought makes my mind race, my adrenaline soar, but from somewhere inside me, there’s a sense of peace, telling me not to worry. I try to remember what happened. But all I can see is darkness and once again I’m left trying to conjure up a reason on my own as to what happened during my lost time. After sitting for a while, I manage to get to my feet and check my pocket for my phone, but it’s gone so I stagger through the trees and mud. I don’t even know where I’m going, what woods I’m in, how deep I am in the trees. I could walk for miles and be going in a circle and never know it, but I’m not worried about that. There’s a spark of recognition in my mind and it feels like my feet are following an invisible path, like they’re my compass, guiding me toward wherever it is I need to go. Maybe I subconsciously remember hiking out here last night. And I luck out. After walking for about five minutes, I hear the sounds of cars. There’s a road nearby. Even though it hurts, I pick up my pace, tripping over my feet and bumping into trees. I’m getting closer, the sound of the cars becoming more defined, when suddenly it happens. A spilt second before it occurs, my mind registers that it’s going to happen but before I can respond, I trip over something solid and fly to the ground face first in the dirt, my nose slamming against a rock. Blood drips out of my nostrils and runs down my chin as I roll over, terrified to look, because I know what it is A dead body. Lying in the dirt. Face up. Eyes open. Wavy hair matted with dirt and smothered with blood, along with his polo shirt, the top one missing. The man from the bar that got rough with me is dead by my feet. And I can’t remember last night. Again. I can’t do anything, but check. Putting my hand into my pocket, my fingers brush a small, smooth object. I don’t take it out, already knowing what it is. Tears burn at my eyes, my heart thuds violently. Run!

Excerpt
“Mr. Burns?” A sweet voice at my doorway diverted my attention, and I looked up from the screen. In tandem, my eyes blinked, my body jerked, and my cock flexed. Subtly for her not to notice. Though her neat auburn bun, prim tweed suit, and tortoiseshell glasses made her look like some bookworm who should be working at a corporate law office, I swear I’d recognize that face anywhere—with its dewy-skin complexion, delicate bone structure, and those expressive, turned-up lips. Someone pinch me. I must be dreaming. But there she was. That girl I’d kissed last night. In fact, her lips were still swollen. Holy fucking shit! “Hi, I’m Jennifer McCoy.” It took several long moments for my brain to communicate with my mouth. I cleared my throat and licked my lips. “Please come in and take a seat.” Unlike last night when she was blindfolded and took short hesitant steps, she strode into my office with a strong confident gait and lowered herself onto one of the two armchairs facing me. She placed her shoulder bag and briefcase on the floor and crossed her shapely, long legs. I had the burning urge to uncross them. “So, Ms. McCoy—” “You can call me Jennifer.” Okay, let’s start over. “So, Jen-ni-fer, you come highly recommended by my boss, Saul Bernstein.” God, I loved saying her name. It sucked the air out of my lungs. She flashed a small smile. Two little dimples winked at her kissable lips. My cock twitched and I continued. “However, I’m not sure why someone with a passion for children’s television would want to work for a porn channel.” Without flinching, she held my gaze steady. “Adults are no different than children. They need to be entertained. ” That was a fact. And that’s why we referred to our network and programming as “adult entertainment.” I wasn’t done testing her. Or studying her—especially her eyes. Her blindfold had hidden them from me last night, and after she’d disappeared, I kept imagining what they looked like. I thought they might be brown or blue and deep-set. But they were wide-set and green—the greenest eyes I’d ever seen on a human being. When she blinked, it was if they were two leaves fluttering in the wind. I caught my breath. “Well, it’s one thing to tell a producer of a cartoon that he—” “Or she,” she interrupted. “Or she needs to make the shaggy dog bark louder, but it’s another to tell the producer of a porn flick that his female star who’s being shagged needs to scream louder.” “Not a problem,” she said flatly. “Well, then, let’s pretend I’m the producer, and I’m not quite sure what you want. Can you please demonstrate?” “Sure.” She cleared her throat and then took off her glasses, setting them on my desk. Fuck. Her eyes were beautiful. My gaze stayed fixed on them as she flung her head back, and a look of torturous pleasure washed over her face. It was identical to the expression on her face last night as I held her head back and fucked her mouth with my tongue. She squeezed her eyes shut. “Oh, baby, yes! Make me come! Oh God! Oh, yes, Yes, YES!” Each breathy “yes” was louder than the one before, the last one a roar so loud I thought the whole office would hear her. Holy shit. This girl was a fucking tiger. Beneath my desk, my cock was applauding. Was this how Ms. McCoy, M.A., came, or was she just a great actress? If the latter, this girl should be starring in porn flicks not giving script notes. “Was that loud and clear enough?” she asked matter-of-factly, staring me in the face. A slight blush colored her cheeks. I felt heated. Flushed and flustered. And I could feel my cock uncomfortably strain against my fly. Fuck this girl. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to work with her, but I had no choice.

Excerpt
With a satisfied smirk, he lifted me up against the upholstered wall and growled, “Now wrap your arms and legs around me.” He was my boss. Still in my stilettos, I did as he asked. I held my breath as he nudged the crown of his hot cock into my center. We were perfectly lined up. Slowly, he slid it inside me, stretching me, until he filled me to the hilt. My fingernails dug into the fabric of his jacket, and I winced with sweet pain. Holy shit! I thought he was going to split me open. “Am I hurting you?” “No,” I said as my muscles relaxed and got used to his size. “Christ, tiger, you’re so tight and wet. I want to fuck you so badly.” His eyes burned into mine. “I’m going to show you what it’s like to be fucked and by a man who knows how.” I absorbed his words, absorbed his girth. He was so different from Bradley. So hot, so full, so big. So divine! Gripping my bottom, he began to pound into me. I clung to his biceps and tugged at his hair, unable to suppress my moans. My hips rocked with his. I knew I should be thinking about the consequences of my actions, but any logical thought at the moment was impossible. “Do you like this?” he breathed. “Yes.” Oh yes! Good girl, bad girl. It no longer mattered. With each forceful thrust, he was pushing me over the edge. Creating exquisite sensations inside me I’d never experienced before. A pressure, so electrifying, so intense I was seeing stars of Bethlehem. “Do you want to come?” “Yes. Oh please, yes! Yes, yes, YES! I fisted the lapels of his velvet blazer. He pumped harder, faster, rubbing against my clit with each unrelenting stroke. His breaths came in pants. My own pants gave way to whimpers. I was desperately craving a release. “Don’t hold back,” he growled between gritted teeth. “I want to hear you roar, tiger. The room is soundproof.” All it took was a squeeze of my clit. “Come for Santa,” he breathed into my mouth. With a roar of his name so loud it echoed, I imploded. Tears leaked from my eyes as fierce waves of ecstasy swept through my body. A moment later, he let out his own primal roar. His hot pulsing cock exploded inside me, soaking me with his release, as I shuddered around him. Through the speakers, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” piped into the chamber. Spent, Blake rested his glistening sweat-laced forehead against mine as I clung to him. His breathing calmed. I was still shuddering and sobbing softly. “Merry Christmas, tiger,” Blake whispered in my ear. “Merry Christmas.” Christmas had come early.

Review
I was so excited to finally see if man whore Blake Burns gets the girl. I really love this series, it's funny and sexy, very sexy. Blake Burns is the perfect book boyfriend. I think it's great that he gets knocked down a peg by Jennifer. These two characters together are great. He brings out the real her and she made him realize what love is.

"Jennifer McCoy, you are my moon and shining star. My universe." *sighs* See what I mean, Ladies? We've seen how sweet he can be and I love him. I wasn't prepared for the things that happened between Blake and Jennifer in this one. I especially wasn't prepared for the twist at the end. Holy Moly! I held on for dear life during the last two chapters.

I was so happy to see the appearance once again by Blake's Grandma, God I love that woman. Can we have more of her, Please? I really hope to see more of Blake and Jennifer, I hope that there is more to them in the future. Bravo, Nelle L'Amour. I really, really loved this series! I give this book 5 Stars! ~Jen

Excerpt
Blake, always full of surprises, had one more in store for me before the New Year dawned. The Jacuzzi. Big enough to accommodate a dozen people, it was built into an expansive deck outside the house. Our bare bodies buried in the bubbly water, Blake sat close to me. One strapping arm curled around my shoulders while the hand of the other held a lit cigar. The stars and the full moon sparkled overhead in the blackened sky. The steamy water gurgled while CĂ©line Dion piped through hidden speakers, and in the near distance, I could hear the waves of the ocean softly ebb and flow. The intense warm jets of water sprayed my upper back and between my thighs, feeling so tingly good. I was in love, lust, and paradise. It couldn’t get more magical than this. “Tiger, do you mind if I smoke this cigar?” Blake asked, already blowing out a puff of smoke. “It’s kind of a New Year’s tradition.” I inhaled. The smell of the tobacco mixing with the salty sea air was heady. To my surprise, I loved it. I took the cigar from him and put it to my mouth. I inhaled and choked. “No problem,” I coughed out, reaching for my flute of champagne. I took a calming sip. “Stop showing off,” he laughed, taking the cigar back in his hand. He inhaled another puff and I glared at him. Mesmerized by the way he held the cigar between his long fingers and sucked on the tip, drawing in his cheeks and lowering his eyes. Equally sexy was the way he pursed his kissable lips and blew out the smoke. “You know, baby. My father once told me a fine cigar is like a fine woman. You have to warm her before you assault her.” His words made my heart flutter. “Blake, when was the first time you knew you loved me?” I asked as a ring of smoke mingled with the steam from the Jacuzzi. He placed the cigar on a close by ashtray and turned to face me. His eyes glinted in the moonlight. Damn he was beautiful. And oh so sexy. He twirled my damp ponytail with his hand. “It could have been love at first sight. When you kissed me blindfolded at my club. Something changed in me. Then after the Springer thing, I knew if something happened to you, I couldn’t live. You’re my air, baby. I need you to breathe.” A trail of sparks blazed through my body. He loved me right from the beginning. He repeated my question. Tracing his soft lips, I said, “Vegas. When I danced with you.” Ironically, a CĂ©line Dion version of “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,” the song we danced to, was piping through the hidden speakers. Maybe he’d intentionally programmed it. I shifted a little and the powerful jet beneath me stimulated my clit. He tugged at my ponytail. “It took you that long?” His voice was playfully miffed. I twisted a smile. No, it hadn’t. The truth: I think I’d loved him the minute my mouth set down on his in that game of Truth or Dare too. I’d felt the earth move in my heart. Maybe it was lust. It didn’t matter because I wasn’t going to tell him. We imbibed some champagne and glanced up at the starry sky. My head rested on his rugged chest. “Jennifer, do you know why the moon and the stars shine?” I shook my head. The words of the beautiful song were affecting me. The jets were affecting me. He was affecting me. Desire was bubbling inside me. “Why?” Because they’re making love to the sky.” “Lighting it up,” I replied dreamily, my eyes focused on the many constellations above us. He drew me closer. Passion sparked in his eyes. “Jennifer McCoy, you are my moon and shining star. My universe.” In a breath, I was sitting on top of him. Riding him to the heavens. Lighting him up. Lighting myself up. We came together like comets flaring and whispered, in unison, three celestial words. “I love you.”

Tour Stop: Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren

Summary

One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away.

Review

Ok, Christina Lauren has done it to me again. Through their amazing writing, they have made me fall in love with a fictional man, giggled like a thirteen year old school girl and made me want to brush up on my French (which I barely remember any of) and go find Ansel. They never cease to amaze me in the stories they write. Where the heck do they come up with these plots? Oh, and I want more.

Ansel, we'll start with how I totally fell in love with him. He is a sweet, naughty, filthy boy. I just love this character. He's light, not a serious Alpha male. You see it with how he is with Mia. He wants to take care of her. There is just something about her. I really could have killed him though, at about Chapter Eighteen to be exact. It was like, Bam, there it is. The part where my heart gets ripped out of my chest and I'm hyperventilating over what just happened.

Mia, I really, really loved this female character. She's a strong willed, quiet one who takes a chance at life and love. I like her back story and really loved how she overcame it. The relationship with her father was sad, but I liked how they wrote the ending to that part of her life. I really do like a female who takes a stand for what she really wants.

Overall, I thought this book was fabulous. It made me laugh out loud, giggle, drool a little and most of all not want to quit reading. I can't wait for the next installment in this series. C'est Magnifique, Mesdames! Another fantastic book from this awesome Duo.   I give it 5 Stars! ~Jen

Tour Stop: Strings of the Heart by Katie Ashley

Title: Strings of the Heart

Series: Runaway Train

Synopsis

Twenty year old, Allison Slater has been in love with her brother’s bandmate, Rhys McGowan, since she was fifteen years old. But to him, she’ll always be Jake’s little sister and off limits. Now a college sophomore and licking her wounds from a bad breakup, she sets her sights on making Rhys see her as someone he could date…maybe even love. Her opportunity comes when Rhys visits his parents in Savannah where she is attending college. But the night she’s dreamed of turns to heart-break, and she realizes she’ll never be the one for Rhys.

For Rhys McGowan, his nightmare began when he woke up, naked and hung-over, next to his bandmate’s little sister. Unable to remember a thing from the previous night, he only makes matters worse by lying to Allison about not being interested in her. The truth is he’s spent the last year to ignore his body’s reaction whenever Allison is around. His resolve is tested when Allison comes on tour with Runaway Train, as both Jake and Abby’s nanny and to fulfill her fashion design internship. The more time he spends with her in the close quarters of the bus, the harder it is for him to resist.

Will Rhys realize that having a relationship with Allison is worth fighting for even if it means that he has to fight his best friend for a chance?

Review

When I read the other books in the Runaway Train series, I often wondered about Rhys. He was always a mystery for me and I couldn't wait to hear his story. I wasn't entirely prepared for the depth of it though. Rhys' story is one that ripped out my heart. I cried so many times during this book. For him and because of him. I seriously wanted to slap him. I was torn with how to feel about his actions. I think this is the most emotional book in this series for me. It blew me away what he went through and how he chose to react to it. Emotionally closed off to the world, he made me love him at the same time.

Allison, she was a surprise. Katie Ashley always gives us strong willed females, but the strength that Allison had, gave me a whole new love for Katie's character writing. She stands well on her own two feet, and fought like Hell for what and who she wanted. I love the fact that not even Jake could stop her from getting what she wanted.

Once again, I laughed my Ass off with the banter of my guys (Runaway Train) as you know them. Jake, AJ, Rhys and Brayden are so funny and I love the women too. This series is such a wonderful one and I'm going to ugly cry for a long time when we have to say Goodbye to them all. This book is full of emotion, love, and heartache. To see such strong characters battle the things that they do, you can't help but cheer for their happiness and love them to death. I also loved the part when she intertwined her other book Jules the Bounty Hunter into this one. I remember giggling when I realized that's who it was. I love that all of her books are coming together.

I absolutely loved this book and Rhys will forever be one of my favorite book boyfriends. He is one Hell of a lover too. WOW! Those were some of the hottest scenes I've seen. I will always think of this book when swimming and drinking Tequila. I give this book 5 Stars! ~Jen

Review #1
Wow!! Once again I am in awe of this author's amazing writing skills. I loved this story so much that I want to yell at everyone to read it NOW!!

At first I thought "Oh the ballerina and the football player blah, blah, blah. I've read that same scenario a hundred times before!" Nope, I was wrong! Not your everyday, run of the mill, teenage love story here.

Cuba was a player. I think we probably all went to school with at least one Cuba in our time. You know, the guy that all the girls wanted and the one that slept with half the female student body. He is rich, gorgeous and can charm his way through anything. Well, not everything...

Dovey was at Briarcrest on scholarship. She didn't live the same cushy lifestyle the others lived. What I liked most about Dovey was her ability to carry on even when things were terrible for her. She had it rough for most of her life and just couldn't seem to catch a break.

As I said earlier, this is not a your average teen love story so there were parts that were gut wrenching and hard to get out of your head. I was left wondering what I would have done in the same situation.

I loved it! The writing was flawless and this author is an amazing story teller. 5 Stars from me!!  ~Christy

Review #2
To say I loved this book is an understatement. I devoured it, read it until it was done. I sat for hours wrapped up in the story that Ilsa told. I absolutely fell in love with her characters and this book.

Cuba was not what I had expected of a Private School football player whose Dad had more money than he knew what to do with. He surprised me at every turn, and he pissed me off more than once with his actions. His story is heartbreaking in it's own right. He handled it all wrong, but who am I to judge. I knew there was more to his story than the author was telling at first. When you finally get the whole story, you can't help but love him and cry for him.

Dovey was wonderfully written. She was dealt the worst hand in the game of life, yet she gambled and took the bet. She didn't let anything get her down, and if it did, she got up and kicked it's ass. I really liked her strength and the love she showed for her friends. It really showed her character and how wonderful Dovey really was.

The plot of the story was intense. It grabbed me in the beginning and had me gripping my Kindle all the way through. What is he going to do? How is she going to deal with this? Why is he doing this?!?!?! Those are questions I asked myself while reading. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to readers of all adult ages. Cuba and Dovey have a sad and intense story, but I think you'll love them like I do. Amazing Job, Ilsa Madden-Mills.
I give this book 5 Stars! ~Jen

Excerpt
As I entered the bathroom, my eyes went straight to her. Her back was to me as she rinsed her long, dark hair, and water dripped off every inch of her flawless skin. My gaze roamed lower to her sweet ass as I pulled off my muscle shirt and gym shorts.
When I opened the shower door, she turned and gasped, placing a hand over her heart. “Oh my God, Ryker! You scared me!”
Grabbing her hand, I chuckled, “Sorry, baby.” I kissed her palm before pulling her into me, immersing myself in the stream of water and pressing our naked bodies together.
Her hands glided up to my shoulders as I nuzzled into the curve of her neck. Gripping her ass, I nipped at her collarbone while lifting her up. Her legs wrapped around me automatically as I backed her into the tile wall.
Kaiya's fingers knotted in my hair as our mouths crashed together. Her lips parted against mine as my tongue slipped inside, finding hers instantly and tangling together. “Fuck, you taste so good. I've wanted to taste you all night.”
Kaiya moaned in my mouth as my hands roamed over her wet skin before finding her tits. I played with one of her nipples, squeezing and pulling it, making her whimper louder.
“You like that, baby?” I bit her bottom lip before sucking it into my mouth.
“God, yes.” Her legs tightened around my hips, and she ground herself against me.
I pushed my cock harder against her clit, making her cry out again. “You want my dick inside you?”
“Yes! Fuck me now, Ryker,” she urged.
I trailed one of my hands down her stomach between us before grabbing my cock and guiding it to her pussy.
Fuck, she's so wet already.
I teased her, rubbing against her and slipping the tip of my dick inside before pulling it out.
Kaiya bit my lip when I put just the head of my cock in again. I circled the rim of her pussy, causing her to bite down harder and moan. “Ryker,” she breathlessly pleaded as she pulled me closer to her.
I couldn't help myself when she sounded like that—her need and want for me evident in every noise she was making. I thrust myself inside, filling her completely as we both groaned out in pleasure.
The water rained down on us as I hammered Kaiya against the tile. My mouth found her nipple, and I toyed with it with my tongue ring as I continued to pound into her. She gripped my hair as I savored her, sucking her tit as her sweet pussy hugged my dick.
She feels so good … fucking perfect.
Kaiya's nails dug into my head as she arched into me. My hands caressed her soft flesh as I drove deeper inside her. I was already close to coming, and by the look on her face, she was too.
Her eyes were closed as she bit down on that full, bottom lip.
Fuck, she's so sexy.
Our wet skin slapped together as I increased my pace, thrusting harder into her, bringing us both to the brink.
I wanted to taste her as I made her come, capture the sounds of bliss she made because of me. I grabbed her face and crushed her lips with mine, opening her mouth with my tongue and slipping it inside.
Fuck, so good.
After a few more thrusts, Kaiya cried out and her pussy tightened around me. I followed, coming inside her as she trembled against me.
Holding Kaiya up, I pressed kisses along her neck as we caught our breath. “I love you,” I murmured against her skin.
Turning her head, she grazed her lips against mine. “I love you, too.”
Some of her hair clung to her face as she leaned her head against the wall. I pushed the drenched strands back before kissing her again.
Kaiya's legs had loosened, but as our kiss deepened, she tightened them around me again. My dick started to harden inside her.
Damn, she drives me fucking crazy.
I slowly pumped my cock in and out of her, growling against her lips, “You want more, baby? You want me to fuck you again?”
She sucked my tongue into her mouth. Hard. “Yes, please fuck me,” she loudly moaned.
I smirked and roughly thrust into her, eliciting a gasp of pleasure from her swollen lips. We stayed there in the shower until long after the water ran cold.
