Tour Stop: Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren

Summary

One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away.

Review

Ok, Christina Lauren has done it to me again. Through their amazing writing, they have made me fall in love with a fictional man, giggled like a thirteen year old school girl and made me want to brush up on my French (which I barely remember any of) and go find Ansel. They never cease to amaze me in the stories they write. Where the heck do they come up with these plots? Oh, and I want more.

Ansel, we'll start with how I totally fell in love with him. He is a sweet, naughty, filthy boy. I just love this character. He's light, not a serious Alpha male. You see it with how he is with Mia. He wants to take care of her. There is just something about her. I really could have killed him though, at about Chapter Eighteen to be exact. It was like, Bam, there it is. The part where my heart gets ripped out of my chest and I'm hyperventilating over what just happened.

Mia, I really, really loved this female character. She's a strong willed, quiet one who takes a chance at life and love. I like her back story and really loved how she overcame it. The relationship with her father was sad, but I liked how they wrote the ending to that part of her life. I really do like a female who takes a stand for what she really wants.

Overall, I thought this book was fabulous. It made me laugh out loud, giggle, drool a little and most of all not want to quit reading. I can't wait for the next installment in this series. C'est Magnifique, Mesdames! Another fantastic book from this awesome Duo.   I give it 5 Stars! ~Jen

Lauren Billings (but everyone calls her Lo) has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and before she made writing her full-time job, would spend her days doing nerdy research-type things wearing a lab coat and goggles. She is silly Mommy to two littles, wife to one mountain biking homebrewing scientist, bestie to a shoe-stealer, and an unabashed lover of YA and romance.

Christina Hobbs (but you’ll always hear Lo call her PQ) used to spend her days in a junior high counseling office surrounded by teenagers. Married to the cutest boy in school, she has a thirteen year old daughter, is an unapologetic lover of boy bands and glitter, and also likes to steal Lo’s shoes.
