Tour Stop: THERAPY by Kathryn Perez ~ Review/Giveaway

Title: Therapy
Author: Kathryn Perez
Tour hosted by: The Indie Bookshelf

Synopsis

I’m needy.

I’m broken.

Cutting breaks through my numbness, but only opens more wounds.

Depression, self-harm, bullying....that's my reality.

Sex and guys....that's my escape.

The space between the truth and lies is blurred leaving me torn, lost and confused. And while the monsters that live in my head try to beat me-- the two men that I love try to save me.

This is my story of friendship, heartache, and the grueling journey that is mental-illness.

Sometimes you have to get lost in order to be found…

REVIEW

"I wish I knew what it felt like not to have this hole inside of me, this emptiness that never seems to go way."

OMG!! This book was absolutely amazing!! It was not an easy read by any means but it was beautifully written and is a story that will stay with you. I found myself all over the place emotionally. One minute I was angry and wanted to reach in and throttle someone then in another I was smiling and feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. The characters were deep, flawed and in some ways broken. Not many authors can create such depth but this one made it seem effortless.

Overall this will probably be one of the best books I will read this year and for that I am giving it 5 (wish it could be more) stars! ~Christy
