Review
"Some of the best gifts come in small packages." This is how I felt when I finished this novella. So much information and emotions packed into this novella.
The book starts off right after Noel and Lanie's wedding. Aubrey has decided it's time to go home and face the music. She needs her dads help after losing her job. She also needs to bite the bullet and introduce Zach "Riff" to her family. Can I just tell you how much I love Riff, like really love Riff. I wish he was real so he and I could share Oreo's and I could present him with my Golden Ticket. Aubrey is from the south, she is also from a high society family and this is a world in which people like Zach are looked down upon. Enter "The Judge", Aubrey's father is a judge and judge he does. He instantly looks Zach up and down and doesn't like him. The Judge is a major asshole and I wanted to jump into my kindle and strangle him when he took it upon himself to threaten Zach and the other Black Falcon men I love. Tragedy strikes Zach's life while they are away, this added with the pressure from Aubrey's dad, Zach makes a decision that breaks my heart and has me screaming out loud.
I can't speak of the ending without ruining it all but you will be left feeling warm and fuzzy. There is a point in the end where I was crying happy tears and thinking "AWE" that is so awesome. I had a hangover for awhile and can't wait for the next installment in this series. I recommend this series to all my friends. I give this book 5 Stars!
