His fingers wrapped around the back of my neck, pulling me hard against his
body. I knew what he was attempting to do, but his plan was backfiring.
My body sighed at the contact, and every curve molded against him;
desperate to feel all of him.
“If I feel you beneath me, I won’t
be able to stop Araya. I want you too damn much! I want you, all of you.
I want to be buried so deep inside of you, you won’t know where I end
and you begin.” His breath showered my lips with warmth.
“I won’t want you to stop Ryland. I need you, all of you, now and forever.”
“And the rest?”
His
eyes move over my face, flushing my skin with the intensity of his
gaze. The rhythm of my heart increased, because I know what he wants me
to say.
“Say it.” He growls against my lips.

I fell in love with Araya and Ryland in The Edge of Darkness. My heart was breaking for Ryland in the prologue, I wanted him to find Araya and not let her go. This is a story that is unique, different and wonderful.
Araya's struggles to be independent make her that more loveable. I love that she looks at life with the "glass half full" attitude. What she has been through in her lifetime would have broken so many people. I really love the strength of this heroine.
Ryland, what can I say about him. I love him, I love the way he feels about Araya. I love that he refuses to give up looking for her. Life being fed by a silver spoon didn't ruin Ryland, it made him strong and protective of those he loves dearly.
This book has so many twists and turns and things I can't go into without spoiling. So, I'll tell you this. The plot to this series is one of the most unique and interesting ones I've ever read. I love this authors ability to allude to things that are about to happen. When it does happen, it is not at all how you thought it would go. That to me is really good writing. I really love this series and I hope that the author is writing a story for Sebastian. He is very mysterious and his story seems like a heart wrenching one that I will definitely read.
