Review
I'm listening to Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls while writing this review. This song truly says everything about Remy and his love for Brooke. I was so excited to read Mine and it exceeded my expectations. The love that Remy and Brooke share is rare,Real and pure. Love isn't always hearts and flowers and Katy Evans writes it as real as it gets. People have flaws, and so many of us forget that. Remy is strong, beautiful, and sweet. He is also broken and ill, yet everyone deserves to be loved, unconditionally.
Brooke has really grown and I love her in this book. She is stronger and fights alongside Remy and for him. I cannot begin to describe the feelings that this book has brought out of me. I was enthralled in this book from word one, page one. I hated to have to put it down. I watched the timer on my Kindle and didn't want it to end.
This is my favorite book read this year. I love the writing in this series. The characters are so well developed and you can't help but fall in love with every one of them (except Scorpion). The pain and struggles that Remy has to go through in this book broke my heart. Nobody should have to go through life like he does.
The ending was Perfect! As sad as I am to see somewhat of an end of Remy and Brooke, Katy did them justice and for this I applaud her. I'm so glad that I stumbled onto this series and I highly recommend this book. I can't wait for Remy (Real #3).
