Review ~ 4.5 Stars
I love this series! I don't think I have ever had a book tear me in two before, but this one did just that. When I finished Relentless there was no clear cut winner for me. Both Adam and Chris were both perfect for Claire. However, by the end of POY, I was team Chris all the way. I know I will get slack for this but I felt Adam was too immature to handle all that is Claire. He has anger issues which is something she doesn't need in her life and quite frankly he was on my last nerve by the end of the book. He was sweet at times but I just can't see him making Claire happy in the end. Now Chris, on the other hand is sweet, loving and just plain swoon worthy. He was able to forgive Claire for giving up their baby and welcome her back with open arms. He knows what he wants and he is not afraid to reach out and take it. He has his life together and is ready to be her one and only. To me there is no doubt who she should choose. The heart wants what the heart wants so I guess we will have to wait and see who has hers in book 3. I have this sinking feeling that book three will shatter all of our hearts.

My favorite quote....."You don't stop loving someone just because they've hurt you. Yes, what you did hurt me, but I gain nothing if I stay angry with you. But I might gain everything by forgiving you. You're my everything. I just want you back."

Review ~ 5 Stars
It seemed liked I waited on this book for years but in all actuality it has only been 3 months. Of course it was well worth my "long" and torturous wait.  I was sucked right in again after only a few pages and was reminded of how much I love Blake and Cole's story. 
What I love most about this series is that it's not just romance. You get a mystery with twists and turns that keep you wondering what the hell is going on.
 Cole has had my heart ever since I met him in TINLID but he was even more endearing this time around. His love for Blake never wavers which makes him all the more sexy in my book. Blake has not been able to catch a break. The hell that she has been through would be enough to break the strongest of women but with Cole's love she was able to overcome it all. I feel so sad that this is the end of their story. This is a story that will stay with me for a very long time. I was left with a smile but it was bittersweet knowing this was the end. Thank you Claire Contreras for writing such beautiful characters so full of heart and passion.

My favorite quote...."My soul belongs to you, Blake. I go where you go. I can't live without you, I don't want to live without you. If you die tomorrow, I die with you. I don't know how many times or how many ways I'm going to have to say that to you for it to stick, but if I have to say it every single day for the rest of my life, I will."

Review: THE FORGOTTEN ONES by Laura Howard


Synopsis:

 Allison O'Malley's plan is to go to grad school so she can get a good job and take care of her schizophrenic mother. She has carefully closed herself off from everything else, including a relationship with Ethan, who she's been in love with for as long as she can remember.

What is definitely not part of the plan is the return of her long-lost father, who claims he can bring Allison's mother back from the dark place her mind has gone. Allison doesn't trust her father, so why would she believe his stories about a long forgotten Irish people, the Tuatha de Danaan? But truths have a way of revealing themselves. Secrets will eventually surface. And Allison must learn to set aside her plan and work with her father if there is even a small chance it could restore her mother's sanity.



Review ~ 4.5 Stars

I really enjoyed this book… very well done for a first novel. I was seriously hanging on to every word. I don’t usually read this type of book (paranormal) and some of the connections were too convoluted to follow but it didn’t really detract from the book. I’m really rooting for the Allison/Ethan connection to heat up in the next book.

The dialog was realistic and the character development felt natural. Allison’s nightmares were so well written that MY heart was pounding by the time she woke up. I love that they leave open the possibility of healing for her mother but I hate the cliffhanger at the end! I really hope the second book comes out soon and lives up to this one.
